The Shape of Sound: A study of multisensory model for the embodied communication of pain, 2025

Experimental Research Film

Duration: 4 min 18 seconds

A film by Dahee Han
This experimental research film proposes a multisensory model of communication to address critical miscommunications in medical diagnoses, creating a more inclusive healthcare dialogue.

At the heart of this research lies an inquiry into how individuals from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds might express their sensations through onomatopoeic and imitative sounds, alongside movement. Thus, it aims to more accurately visualise and materialise patients’ sensory and emotional experiences.

The tango effect on Parkinson's, 2023

Duration: 9m

Direct / Camera / Sound / Edit : Dahee Han

This is an interview video with Kate Swindlehurst, the author of The Tango Effect: Parkinson's and the Healing Power of Dance.

It was one of my most interesting projects; I love music and dance, and so I really enjoyed spending  time on this task, especially when choosing the background music. Each process for this video was very exciting, starting from contacting Kate, to filming, and to editing.

One foot after the other 2, 2023

Duration: 4m

Direct / Camera / Sound / Edit : Dahee Han

This video is a second story about David's marathon. The first episode is more focused on his personal story with Parkinson's, and this second video is more focused on the full marathon day.

David Little was one of my co-workers at Charco, and I was grateful to work with him and to have the opportunity to hear more about his detailed story.

It was incredible to see how the CUE1 device gives a positive effect on his freezing-of-gait episodes.

The next big thing, 2023
